  • Podcasts:

    • Acquired: The show has been ranked the #1 Technology show on Apple Podcasts and has built a passionate audience with a 5-star rating across thousands of reviews. Episodes — which are better described as "conversational audiobooks" — are now downloaded by over 200,000 unique listeners in the first 180 days and have an estimated 250,000+ subscribers across all podcast players.​

    • A16Z Podcast: The a16z Podcast discusses tech and culture trends, news, and the future -- especially as ‘software eats the world’. It features industry experts, business leaders, and other interesting thinkers and voices from around the world. Multiple episodes are released every week.

    • 20VC: What was once a channel delivering actual twenty-minute podcasts on VC, has turned into a media conglomerate with $300M in AUM and content on almost every imaginable topic.

  • Data & Reports:

    • Wilson Sonsini Entrepreneurs Report:  Data on venture financing transactions and convertible note financings. Great place to find relevant trends in activity and valuation levels for U.S. venture capital.​ Reports: 2022, 2023Q3

    • WilmerHale Venture Capital Report: An excellent analysis of venture capital activity.

    • Coolygo Trends: Cooley GO Visualize, allows you to drill down on trends gleaned from deals they've worked on with entrepreneurs. The data is updated in conjunction with their quarterly VC Financing Reports.

    • CB Insights: I love their State of Venture reports that give a great overview of the most recent trends in global venture capital.

    • Pitchbook: Pitchbook also has tons of free downloadable reports. I find them a better source for US-focused VC activity.

    • Preqin: A comprehensive private capital and hedge fund datasets and tools. Quite a few interesting free reports on venture capital, innovation, and entrepreneurship.

    • Seed-DB: A database of seed accelerators and their companies. I'm uncertain about the data's accuracy, but it provides an intriguing insight into the world of accelerators.

    • Startup Genome: An innovation policy advisory and research firm. Has some really nice granular analyses in their "Global Startup Ecosystem Report," with some very nice stats on startup hubs around the world.

  • News​

    • TechCrunch: ​TechCrunch is a leading technology media outlet that covers the latest news, reviews, and analysis in the tech industry. 

    • The Verge: The Verge is a popular technology news website that covers a wide range of topics including consumer electronics, science, art, and culture. 

    • Mashable: Mashable is a digital media website that focuses on technology, digital culture, and entertainment news. It covers a wide range of topics including social media, gadgets, internet culture, and digital trends.

  • Term Sheet Generators:

    • NVCA: Great resource for relevant templates and updated legal terms.​

    • Cooleygo Document Generators: Tons of relevant templates for founders and investors.

  • Valuation Tools:

    • VCV Tools: This website was created as a web-based companion to the "Venture Capital and the Finance of Innovation" textbook. Inside, authors Metrick and Yasuda present NEW web-based tools that allow easy visualization and valuations of multiple term sheets in a startup.​

    • Damodaran Online: This website is the ultimate destination for valuation data. No other website can match the comprehensive valuation data offered on this site by NYU professor Aswath Damodaran.
